PART P BUILDING REGS

New government legislation placing tighter controls on the standard of Electrical Installation work in dwellings across England and Wales came into force on January 1st 2005.

All proposed electrical installation work, (Except the simple replacement of accessories such as a socket, switch or light fitting and minor installation work NOT in a kitchen, Bath or Shower room or outside in the Garden, supply to a Shed or Garage), must be notified to the local Building Control BEFORE work commences, unless it is to be undertaken by a Competent person authorised to Self-certify their work.

Failure to comply with this legislation can result in a £5000 + fine.   As an N.I.C.E.I.C. Approved contractor we at T O Lockwood Electrical services Self certify our work and take care of all the paperwork for You.

You will receive not only a Wiring certificate from us on completion of the work but  also receive notice of Compliance with all relevant Building regulations a copy of which will be registered with Your local Building control.  This is essential information that will be required in order to sell Your property in the future.

Please feel free to contact us for more information if required.
